Laudallander is By Littorio – 1995 Holsteiner Verband Grand Champion Stallion at the approvals in Germany. The sire son of the great Lord, who also won his stallion approvals. Lord was a successful 3 day horse and is reknown for endowing his progeny with enormous score over fences. Lord is also the sire of the great Landgraf. Landgraf is considered to be the Stallion of the century and the symbol of the modern Holsteiner sport horse.

Laudallander’s dam Driving Rain is a TB mare by Centaine. She carries the bloodline of such great horses including So Big, Precipitation and Summertime. These T.B bloodlines were the very same lines used by the Holsteiner verband in the early 1960 to improve the Holsteiner horse to the modern horse it is today.

Driving Rain was classified and approved as a high scoring Holsteiner foundation mare in 2004.  She has produced 100% premium foals.  Including Laudallander’s full sister Allander Frankie, also by Littorio.  Frankie was the champion filly foal and the Grand Champion foal of the 2005 Australiasian classification tour.

Laudallander was shown inhand as a youngster and won at the North Island All Breeds Show, the best Holsteiner and was Reserve Champion Holsteiner Horse.

The depth of this parentage can be seen in his jumping ability and expressive movement.

Result – the modern sporthorse

His temperament and conformation is faultless, attributes that he passes on to his youngsters. Laudallander really stamps all his offspring with his great looks and temperament, they all possess a natural power off the ground which makes them ideal athletes for top level jumping and dressage. They are brave horses that, like their  father, make them very easy to train or take out to events.

This is Laudallander`s second season at stud already he has premium foals from his first foal crop. In Febuary this year we had our youngsters Classified by Hanno Koncke, a third generation Holsteiner breeder from Germany and a commissioner of the Holsteiner verband. He along with his wife Marina, a member of the Olympic eventing team for Germany had big praise for the our youngstock. With our foals from Laudallander and Carpe Diem all scoring premium status.

As Laudallander is now gelded, his semen is only available via frozen A.I to approved mares and therefore there will be a limit to the youngsters he will produce.
